Datorium.AI selected for the EdTech Lab at the European Education and Skills Summit 2026, Brussels, 20 November 2026

Datorium.AI has been selected as one of 11 European EdTech providers to take part in the EdTech Lab at the 2026 European Education and Skills Summit, which takes place in Brussels on 20 November.

The Summit is the annual flagship event of the European Education Area. This year’s theme, “Schools for tomorrow: fit for the era of AI”, looks at how Europe can build learning environments ready for artificial intelligence. Discussions will focus on basic skills, the teaching profession and the digital transformation of education, including sovereign infrastructure.

The EdTech Lab is one of the Summit’s interactive spaces, showcasing innovative solutions from Europe’s EdTech community. For Datorium, this means a full day of hands-on work with around 500 teachers, school leaders and education stakeholders. Visitors will be able to try Datorium.AI for themselves, from preparing a curriculum-aligned lesson to reviewing AI-supported assessment.

“We are glad to be selected for the EdTech Lab at one of the most important events in European education. It shows that European schools are looking for AI that fits their own curriculum, their language and their values, and that keeps teachers in charge. We look forward to working side by side with teachers and school leaders in Brussels,” says Angela Jafarova, co-founder of Datorium.

European AI, built for European classrooms

Datorium.AI is an AI teaching and learning platform developed and hosted in the EU. It helps teachers create curriculum-aligned lessons, worksheets and differentiated activities, support assessment and personalise learning. Teachers review and edit everything before using it with students. Datorium.AI is used by more than 2,000 schools and has localised curriculum coverage in more than ten countries, so teachers can work with their own national learning goals, subjects and languages.

Its selection for the EdTech Lab follows other recent milestones across the region. Datorium.AI was selected for Lithuania’s national EdTech Testbed 2026, run by Lithuania’s National Agency for Education. In Estonia, Datorium has been selected together with its Finnish partner Educraftor, who leads the project, to train educators in AI skills and run learning activities as part of Eesti.ai – “The Most AI-Literate Nation”, the national AI skills initiative led by the Government Office of Estonia.

Shaping digital education in Europe

Datorium’s co-founders also work closely with the European Digital Education Hub, the European Commission’s community for digital education. They contribute to its expert squads, including the Ethical Use of AI and Data in Education squad and the EU EdTech for Sovereign Education Futures squad. In these squads, Datorium brings the perspective of a European EdTech company to policy makers, educators, researchers and other stakeholders from across Europe.

This combination of policy work and classroom practice is at the core of Datorium’s approach. Responsible AI in education has to work in real lessons, with teachers in control and respect for each country’s curriculum and educational choices.

The Summit’s plenary sessions will be streamed live on the European Education Area website. No registration is needed to watch online.
